IN THE SPIRIT OF GIVING, Christmas
came early for OOTW dogs & cats
Cathy & Wayne Holcomb's Christmas Party on Saturday, December 5, 2009, guests were asked to bring dog or cat food instead of gifts. Everyone arrived
to enjoy lots of treats prepared by Cathy. Tours of their home were given and we met all
three of the Holcomb's kitties. The home was adorned with Christmas decorations inside and out, and
Christmas Villages in every room. In the end, 237 pounds of dog and cat food had been "gifted" to OOTW.
OOTW greatly appreciates this generous offering to
benefit homeless dogs and cats in need. Thanks, Cathy & Wayne Holcomb, for your generous & compassionate hearts.

Hosto, Buchan, Prater &
Lawrence designated OOTW to be the recipient of their monthly fundraiser
for May. The "Dollars for Denim" program allows employees of their company to wear denim
on Fridays in exchange for a donation to the designated charity for the
entire month. Thanks, everyone at HBPL for your generosity to help
OOTW! Eight year old Thomas
Allen asked to have the guests at his birthday party donate to OOTW instead of receiving
gifts. Thank you Thomas, for your selfless act to help homeless dogs
& cats! We are grateful
to everyone who contributes to OOTW! Everyone who donates can be assured that we are
making a difference.

artist who loves to paint pets!

Little things that you can do to help OOTW in a BIG
way!!
What if Out of the Woods earned a
penny every time you searched the Internet? Or how about if a percentage of every purchase you made online went to support
our cause? Well, now it can! GoodSearch.com is a new Yahoo-powered search engine that donates half its advertising
revenue, about a penny per search, to the charities its users designate. Use it just as you would any search engine, get quality
search results from Yahoo, and watch the donations add up! GoodShop.com is a new online shopping mall which donates
up to 37 percent of each purchase to your favorite cause! Hundreds of great stores including Amazon, Target, Gap, Best Buy,
ebay, Macy's and Barnes & Noble have teamed up with GoodShop and every time you place an order, you’ll be supporting
your favorite cause. Just go to www.goodsearch.com and be sure to enter Out of the Woods as
the charity you want to support. And, be sure to spread the word!

Our friend and
supporter, Krisha Williams, who has written about us on her blog, Rescue in the Rock,
is also contributing 25% of the proceeds from her Etsy site. Click
on the picture above to see her handmade items and photographs.

OOTW Representative, Carolyn Turner has graciously offered booth space at Mid Towne Antique Mall in Little
Rock to Out of the Woods. If anyone would like to donate items she would be happy to price them and place them
in the booth for sale. She can take antique items as well as useful household items, everything from CD's to
Tools to Kitchen items. Please no clothes unless they are vintage. The space is only 10 X 10 so prior
arrangements need to be made for any larger items. If you have items you would like to donate please contact Carolyn.
