Myley (aka Millie)

We changed the vowel sound in her name so we are calling her Myley (Mile-ee). Our nine year old liked the Hanna Montana connection. She slept through the night again last night and did not fuss too much at bed time. She has a sweet disposition and has fit into the family dynamic nicely. She and Pepper are becoming buddies. Potty training is a theme this weekend since our son is going through it also. She is very smart and she may be trained before Andrew. I will send updates randomly. Thanks.

Kaia (aka Oreo)

Here is Kaia (Oreo) with her brother Buster running errands,  she is doing great!  She's really come out of her shell and is a wild woman until she tires herself out.  She loves to sleep in a pile of pillows on the couch and sleeps in a pile of pillows on the bed too...she's already a tad bit spoiled.  But who cares.

Sonny

Sonny has passed the canine good citizen test and is now working toward being a therapy dog... he is already going into hospitals and nursing homes in the area and people love him to death, he just sits there and lets them pet him for as long as they want to. He is going to take the final test in another month but I don't see any problem with passing .

Noah and his Bear

He is doing amazingly well. He is a "gentle giant". We just love him to death!!! He is so patient with my 6 year old and his friends as they wrestle and pull on him. People at the park think he is so beautiful and cannot believe how obedient he is. I let him run off the leash and I only have to call him once and clap and he comes right back to me. On the leash, if I stop to talk to someone, he simply sits until I am ready to go. We are so lucky to have found him and we thank you so much for bringing him into our lives. He truly is a treasure.

Beau is quite ornery. I just love him. Little Missy has made a nice adjustment. She is more energetic and wants her fill of attention from me.

Kolby (with Jimmy & Tori)

Kolby is doing much better. He was very sad, wouldn't eat anything. I was really heartbroken for him. He is much happier today, eating and playing with his toys. He is a very good boy, very sweet and calm. Sad as he was,he learned tricks! He is so smart! He has learned "sit" "stay" and "down" in one week! He has also done very well with housetraining. He hasn't had an accident in 3 days. He woke me up this morning about 5:30,to "tell" me he had to go. He sleeps next to my side of the bed at night and is loose except when I go to work. I have him in his crate, which he loves, he's always in there sleeping with door open.

Tate (aka Yoda)

I logged into my Facebook account tonight and saw your name as someone suggested for me to become friends with. I don't know if you will remember me or him, but I adopted a chocolate lab mix puppy named Yoda in August 2007. Well....I named him the handsome boy Tate, and I cannot imagine life without him!  We moved to Tampa, FL for my first big-girl job after I graduated in May 2008. He's never far from his Nylabone.  He loves having his belly scratched and sometimes falls asleep on his back w/ his feet in the air ;) He looks right into your face when talking to him and shows so many different emotions that I swear one day he will talk back. He watches TV and sometimes even runs up to the screen if he sees another dog on there. I could go on and on and on....but I really just want to say thank you for what you do. After I had him for about a month, my mom sent a tag to put on his collar that said "I rescued my human", and it could not be more true.
All of the work you do makes such a difference in the lives of all of the animals you save as well as the humans they save.  Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

Just a note to say thanks for bringing this amazing animal into our lives. He is a real joy. He is always optimistic and enthusiastic. He's very sensitive and thus easy to train. Thanks again for all you do.

Bullet (with Midnight)

We adopted Bullet 8-1-2009 when he was 11 weeks old. He was such a happy puppy and very out going. Now he is 15 weeks old and so big. He is fully potty trained. He walks right with us on the leash and he is the calmest puppy I have ever seen. He knows sit very well and is very easy when he gets his treats. He is such a joy to have in our family and we are so glad you sent him our way. Thanks again.

Benny is happy and enjoying his new home and family. Benny loves the snow... and likes to spend some time relaxing watching the football game! He unfortunately ate most of his new toys that he got for Christmas! A big chewer he is. But we love him alot as does his big brother Casey! Best wishes to all for a happy and healthy new year!

Camp

Camp is doing great...he is crashing in his crate right now, he is becoming quite the New York City pup...I swear he has a Southern accent though. He is settling in nicely! Thank you so much for giving him such a great start - I will do my best to continue what you have started! I have given 2 people the OOTW website because they were so in love with Camp! He is quite a hit on the steets of New York!

Limbo (with Patrick at the waterfall)

This puppy is a sweetheart. I just want to say one thing to you guys, I can't understand how this guy was overlooked. I've had a couple of dogs but Limbo is all love, he has a heart as pure as gold. We are in complete awe with this guy. He's going to be a big guy but the biggest part of him is his heart. If God wanted to give us an example of what Love is, Limbo is the best example ... he's a canine angel from heaven. We love him so much, it's unbelievable how he's won our hearts. Even my husband who's a tough construction guy...gets all mushy with him and that's a lot to say... Everything is so wonderful, he has fit in perfect as if he's always been here.

Burt

I just wanted to let you know how Burt's been. He is fantastic. He was a little scared I think the first two weeks but he's finally coming out of his shell. He is still very much a snuggler but he is turning into a rambunctious little man. He loves going for walks... He is great on the leash, he heals, stays off peoples grass and stops at every corner and sits and waits for me to tell him to come along. His favorite thing to play is tug of war with his chew rope. He has become very attached to me. Last night he was up at 3 a.m. and wanted nothing except for me to rub his chest while he laid across my foot. He went back to sleep after about 10 minutes. It's like having a new baby again.
