A family living out in the country started feeding three stray female dogs living
out in the woods behind their home. The females, who are not very social needed to be spayed and OOTW was contacted to help
catch them. However, once there OOTW discovered that two of the females had litters of pups, 7 in one litter and 5 in the
other. TWELVE! ... and there are two six month old pups from a past litter! That's right, if you are adding this up in your
head, that's a whopping 17 dogs.
Two of the adult dogs appear to be cattle dog mixes and the other one a black
lab mix. The six month old pups are more social than their moms, and seem very adoptable. All 5 will be vetted and spayed.
The family will keep the 3 adults and foster the 2 older pups until adoptive homes are found.

The 12 babies are about 5-6 weeks old, they were covered with fleas and ticks! Absolutely
covered! Some of the babies were lethargic, most likely the result of their flea/tick infestations. But don't worry, they
are all in good hands and safely in foster homes. They have been de-bugged, de-wormed and vaccinated. And 2 of the pups just
got adopted!! WOOHOO!
However, there is still a long road to hoe on this project... With 17 dogs to get vetted,
spayed or neutered! The adult dogs have had no medical care that we know of and most likely will have heartworms though we
pray they don't.

Times are tough, donations
are always needed and we would be very grateful for monetary donations that will go toward the vet bill of these 17 dogs.
Please consider sharing this story with your friends and family. There
are lots of cute, highly adoptable babies looking for their forever homes and you never know whose heart might be captured
by one of these sweet pups.
We will keep you updated on this project
and we thank you for your support of OOTW.
