The Lawson Road Project:
5-8 dogs & 8 puppies
Start Date: July 2011
Rescue Coordinator: Susan Neal
Sept 2011
The puppies have all been adopted
or placed in foster homes and are getting big. Phillip will be keeping the adult dogs and is building new pens that are bigger
and shaded.
All
remaining dogs have been spayed or neutered.
July 2011
Phillip, a deaf and disabled mechanic, started out with 5 dogs of his own, which were having
litter after litter of puppies. The dogs & puppies have been kept in pens in the blazing HOT sun with hardly any shade
and without sufficient food or water! Phillip seems to love all his dogs and he's doing the best he can. Now, his water has
been cut off and he has been getting pails of water from his neighbor's for himself and his dogs. Then his niece brought him
3 more dogs to care for, one of which promptly gave birth to 8 lab mix puppies.
Phillip is in desperate need of
help! OOTW has stepped in to help with the situation. We will see that the adult dogs have medical attention as needed and
are spayed or neutered. The puppies have been vaccinated, wormed, given flea meds and heartworm preventative.
But we still need your help! We need to get these pups INSIDE where it is
COOL and safe!! We need fosters and/or forever homes as soon as possible!!
Here's what you can do to help!
Consider fostering
or adopting. Helping with just one would be great!
