Leaning Pine Road: 30+ cats & kittens
Date: June 2011

OOTW received a call from Vera B., an 88 yr old lady who had some cats abandoned in her area about 3 yrs ago. As you can imagine, a population explosion has occurred! Cats reproduce at an alarming rate and Mrs. B. is on a fixed income and simply cannot finance all the food it takes along with altering so many cats. We are trying to get an accurate count, but the best we can do is about 12-14 adult unaltered females, many of whom are still nursing kittens. There are 11 three-month old kittens and numerous unaltered males that come and go. Clearly, an intervention is needed, and needed now! OOTW to the rescue!

All of these cats are tame, and Mrs. B is happy to keep them and feed them if we can assist with altering them.

Mrs. B said she has tried to find help in the past and no one has come forward to assist. This is why OOTW exists, to help people who help animals!!! We are ready to assist, and the nearby veterinary clinic, Dr. Jensen at Pine Street Veterinary Clinic has offered to give OOTW a fair price to alter all of these cats. It is likely that they will need some extras, so, at a minimum, we are looking at $1250.00 for spays alone! No wonder Mrs. B needs a helping hand. The vet clinic is also going to take in a couple of kittens at a time and try to find them homes. OOTW will pay to have all the kittens spayed when they are old enough.

Won't you help us to help Mrs. B and all her kitties??? Please donate now to keep our SNiP program going!
