Woodson Rd: 8 dogs Start Date: January 2011 Rescue Coordinator:
May 2011: Jean is doing well while continuing her physical therapy as she recovers
from shoulder surgery. We organized a few volunteers that went out and trimmed the vines on the fence and put up an electric
wire to deter the dogs that were getting out.
Betsy is living a comfy life in her foster home while she waits to
find her furever home. She currently lives with another dog, Rusty, a golden retriever, a couple of cats and three human kids!
She is still a bit shy of strangers but is gentle with the children and cats.
Penny has been adopted by a lady who is the mother of one of
our good volunteers!
Sweetie Pie and Jill are still too skittish to come near us. We would love to find foster
homes for them so that they could be socialized and on their way to a new life.
Sissy, Rascal and Bear are the friendliest ones left. Both are
ready to go! We just need to find foster or adoptive homes for them.

January 2011:
Jean W., 77 y/o, already had eight dogs of her own when she saved a litter of
pups from being shot by the locals in her small town of Woodson early last spring. She truly wanted to keep them all, but
she is now realizing that 16 big dogs is just too much for her.
Jean has really done an amazing job and all the
pups are healthy, they have been vaccinated and have been on heartworm and flea prevention. At 11 months old, the pups are
big (approx. 60-70lbs) and beautiful. There are 5 girls and 3 boys. All the females have been spayed.
Foster homes are truly needed as four of these pups can
climb over Jean's five-foot fence and she lives right on the highway. They are in harm's way! The four who stay in the fence are super friendly and are ready to be adopted but they could
use some help with an inside/outside situation where they would be housetrained and learn how to behave indoors. Jean has
not able to provide this for them.
